What is Cheekbone Filler?

Cheekbone filling is a method used to eliminate age-related volume loss in patients’ cheekbones, to give the desired form to the face, to eliminate deformities that occur since birth, and to eliminate losses due to accidents and traumas. The doctor applies filler with hyaluronic acid, fat injection or stem cell-supported fat injection to give the desired form and volume to the patient’s cheekbone.

What materials are used for filling?

Cheekbone filler can be done in 3 ways:

The patient is injected with hyaluronic acid, which is the moisture substance found in our body.
Fat is taken from the patient’s hip or abdominal area and his own fat is injected into his face.
The fat taken from the patient is sent to the stem cell laboratory approved by the Ministry of Health, and when the stem cells multiply and reach the desired number, they are injected into the face together with the patient’s own fat.

Is it a painful procedure?

Before filling procedures with hyaluronic acid, an anesthetic cream is applied to the patient, which minimizes the pain of needle insertion.

Procedures performed by removing fat require liposuction surgery, and since it takes place under anesthesia, no pain is felt during the procedure.

What are the most common deformities seen in the Cheekbone?

The most common deformities seen in the cheekbone are age-related volume losses.

Situations where filler application is useful:

Filling applications are used to eliminate all volume losses in the body and the effects of aging.

How is Cheekbone Filling done?

If cheekbone filling is performed with hyaluronic acid, anesthetic cream is applied to the patient beforehand, the cream takes effect within approximately 30 minutes and the application is performed on the patient.

If cheekbone filling will be performed by fat injection, fat must first be removed from the patient by liposuction and the fat must be made injectable to the face.

If the filling process will be performed with stem cell-assisted fat injection, fat is removed from the patient by liposuction method, the fat taken is sent to the stem cell laboratory approved by the Ministry of Health, the cells are waited to multiply and then the injection is made.

Application time

In cases where cheekbone filler is removed with hyaluronic acid, the process takes a maximum of 1 hour. An anesthetic cream is applied to the patient before the application. It takes approximately half an hour for the cream to take effect, and a maximum of half an hour for the filling application to be performed by the physician, and the filling process is completed within 1 hour.

In the fat injection filling process, the patient must first have fat removed by liposuction method. This process takes at least 1 hour, and the operation, including the subsequent injection, takes approximately 2 hours in total.

In the stem cell-assisted fat injection and filling process, fat is removed from the patient by liposuction. Afterwards, the fat taken is sent to the Ministry of Health Approved Stem Cell Laboratory. It takes 3-4 weeks for the cells to reach the desired number, then the patient is injected.
